Please Overall

The fact that my last 2 pair of glasses, local, were over $600 each and this newest pair from Eyebuy Direct was $250, I'll leave room for some shortcomings and there are some. First, the glasses do let me see much better at distance and close, I wear progressives. I should also mention that it's my prescription and the Transitions that were $100 each that made this pair 'costly' by internet standards. Not being able to try the frames on first I would have probably gone with smaller lenses and I'm a tad concerned that the frames, after 2 weeks, are already rotating a bit on the spring loaded hinges. I hope they last 2 years. The arms of the frames are the thickest I've ever had putting more stress on the hinges I'm guessing but again this would have been noticed if I had the frames on my face/in my hands before I ordered. It took about 10 days for my glasses to arrive after I ordered and that's about the same with ordering local. To order the glasses I could not find any kind of PD measurement tool/PDF on the site and actually had to go to a competitor's site to get one. In general I don't find the site that easy to navigate but here sits a pair of glasses on my face so it eventually all worked out. Keeping the glasses on my face was another bit of a challenge. When new they would slide down my nose quickly. I searched the site for info on adjusting them but found nothing. I contacted customer support and they wanted me to send the glasses back for that. Well, unless my head goes with the glasses I'm not really sure how that would work so I didn't opt for that. I found an article on line about using a blow dryer to heat up the ear pieces to let you gently bend them to fit and that's what I did. Worked like a charm. Why wouldn't that kind of info be on the site itself? Going on my third week there is something wrong with the lenses in spatial orientation that in glasses in the past my brain has adjusted to in a matter of a day or so. Not happening as well with these. Running water looks like it's getting blown by the wind from the right to the left and when I'm cooking the whole pan and stove look like they're sloping down to the left. TV's, pc screens, etc all look like they are sitting at an angle to me with the left side closer than the right. I'm slowly getting used to it but obviously something is not right. Is that the prescription? The lenses? Who knows. Overall I'm seeing better and for about 1/3 of what I've paid in the past. I'm a HUGE 'buy local' person but when they charge 3 times as much I'm no fool.
